What a wild ride it has been!
I am so touched by all your kind words and well wishes. Over 600 of you have sent email or posted messages at WROR.com. I wish I could write to each and every one of you personally, because your messages to me were so personal.
It was 1999 when I came on board the Loren and Wally Show. Truth be told, at the time I didn’t know much about these guys…maybe that’s a good thing.
Since then, you have shared in my joys as a single mother. You celebrated with me when Elise graduated from high school and you related similar stories of your own children when she went off to college. And you soothed my broken heart when she moved across the country to Seattle. Where were you this past year, when she was gallivanting around the ...

We heard from a large number of you and apparently you're as sick of politicians calling your house, as we are. So, we did a little homework and found out how we might be able to stop them from calling us. But, it's going to take A LOT of us. Hey, politicians are always telling us our voices can be heard, if we vote. Here's another way to get them to listen to us; place a question on the State Election Ballot. Here's the link.
Here's what you'll find:
1. A Guide for Circulating Petitions
2. Initiative Petition for a Law
3. Initiative Petition for a Constitutional Amendment

If you do it, call me at home during ...
September 11th

Like most people, I'll never forget where I was on September 11th, 2001 when I heard the news that our world had changed.
We were on the air. It was towards the end of the show and we looked at the TV monitor in the studio because there was a scroll at the bottom of the screen of breaking news; "a small plane" had crashed into the upper portion of one of the towers at the World Trade Center. Certainly that is enough to keep your eye on the TV screen. So the Morning Show was all together in the studio, watching live footage, when we saw the second plane heading straight for the other tower, then crashing into it. It took a second to grasp what we were watching and I remember saying to Loren, "That was live, right?...not a replay of the first plane, right?" And he said "You saw correctly, ...
Habitat for Humanity-My daughter; saving the world.

As many of you know, my daughter Elise has worked for Habitat for Humanity/EKC for the last 5 years. Soon, my family will be joining her to participate in Habitat's biggest fund-raiser of the year; their annual Build-a-thon.
This event is bittersweet for me, as it also marks Elise's last big hooray with Habitat, because she will soon be leaving to embark on her own personal journey to try to do good somewhere else in the world. (Most likely starting in Thailand and ending in Antarctica. Maybe you’ve seen my new movie `Eat-Pray-Love-Pray for Her Safe Return’?) I would really appreciate your support to raise money for the Build-a-thon. It’s also my family’s effort to thank Elise for the good she’s done here in the U.S.
