No, really!

Beatles legend Ringo Starr will ‘get animated’ on the upcoming return of Cartoon Network’s hit show about tiny super heroines “The Powerpuff Girls,” according to The Examiner.

Ringo will voice the character of Fibonacci Sequins, the town’s most “flamboyant mathematician,” and also contribute an original song entitled “I Wish I Was a Powerpuff Girl.”

The drummer is no stranger to kids’ cartoons, though!  Many will remember that Ringo was the narrator on Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends from 1984 to 1986 and appeared as Mr. Conductor on Shining Time Station in 1989.

Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band recently announced a series of international tour dates for 2013 on his official website, which kick off February 7th in Christchurch New Zealand and wraps on March 2nd in Tokyo, Japan.
