Van Halen Reschedule Tour Dates in Japan

One thing that can definitely be said about Van Halen is that nothing can keep them down!

Through the somewhat frequent lineup changes, rumors of drama between members and most recently, Eddie Van Halen’s health scare, the Rock and Roll icons always seem to come out on top.

The group had scheduled a series of concert dates in Japan for this month as a part of their “A Different Kind of Truth” tour, before Eddie experienced a serious bout of Diverticulitis and had to have emergency surgery.

While the famed guitarist will be recovering for the next few months, it seems the band that bears his name have already rescheduled the postponed shows for 2013.

Pollstar reports that the Japanese promoter Udo recently listed the updated concert dates on their website, with shows set for June 21st at the Tokyo Dome, as well as June 24th and 26th at Osaka’s City Central Gymnasium.

Udo also notes that tickets that had been previously purchased before the cancellations will still be honored.

And while Eddie’s son and the band’s bassist, Wolfgang Van Halen, is currently rocking out on tour as a member of Mark Tremonti’s solo project, it has been made clear that Van Halen is most definitely his first priority.
