You know that fantasy you used to have about John Cusack showing up outside your window with a boombox blaring “In Your Eyes”, Say Anything-style?

C’mon, we know we weren’t the only ones!

Anyway, that fantasy was somewhat fulfilled for fans who attended Peter Gabriel’s Hollywood Bowl show for his Back to Front tour on Saturday (October 6th) in Los Angeles.

The tour, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of Gabriel’s iconic album So, is broken up into three parts: Acoustic songs, Electric songs, and the music of So.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, during the So portion of Saturday’s show, Cusack surprised fans by making a cameo in the spirit of his character Lloyd Dobler.

Cusack reportedly walked onto stage and handed a boombox to Gabriel, who raised it above his head in homage to the infamous movie scene and then segued into the song.

And although the Back to Front tour wraps on Sunday (October 14th), fans who didn’t have a chance to see Peter Gabriel live can still celebrate the 25th anniversary of So by picking up one of the album’s special edition packages.

Available now is a remastered version of the original album, as well as a 3CD/digital package with the Live in Athens 1987 concert, and a 4CD/2DVD/LP/12” single box set that also includes So song drafts, the Live in Athens concert film, a So documentary and an original vinyl LP and 12” single.

Check out more on the concert at the Hollywood Bowl at HollywoodReporter.com and visit Peter Gabriel’s official website for more info on the So 25th anniversary.
