Rock fans everywhere miss Queen’s legendary performances, and most agree that they cannot be duplicated.
With that being said, it doesn’t mean that lead guitarist Brian May is stuck at home, reminiscing about the “good old days”.
In a recent press release on his website, May announced that he will be joining the Broadway singer Kerry Ellis, in a unique tour throughout the UK next month.
What‘s so unique about it? The Born Free Tour, as it has been dubbed, will contain a series of 11, completely acoustic shows performed under candlelight.
When speaking about the new acoustic tour Brian May explained “We have found that the two of us just working live off each other can distill the very essence of a song - and that's what we hope to bring you in these dates. After all, if you have great songs and a great singer, what more do you need? Well, maybe just a little bit of guitar!”
And a little bit of guitar can go a long way, especially when played by a legend like May.
If all this didn’t sound good enough already, the fact that it is for a good cause should put it over the top!
The Born Free Tour isn’t just a catchy tour name, they’re using it to support the Born Free Foundation, which is a global organization that works to protect and conserve threatened species.
The tour starts on November 5th at The Apex in Bury St., and ends on the 19th at the Swan Theatre in High Wycombe.
