Video Round-Up: McCartney’s “Save Us,” Plant Previews Album

One part fan participation and one part ode to Bob Dylan’s “Subterranean Homesick Blues,” Paul McCartney recently released the video for his single “Save Us.”

Back in April, Sir Paul asked fans to submit photos of them holding signs that contained the lyrics to “Save Us,” which would then be used to make a video.  Fans started sending pictures with the hashtag #whatsnewPaul by the thousands and has resulted in the video embed above, which turned out fantastic.

…And while he hasn’t created a new music video, Robert Plant has released the trailer to his upcoming solo album.

Coming out September 9th, lullaby and…The Ceaseless Roar will mark the first release for Plant on his new label Nonesuch Records.

The trailer for the album (embedded below) features sprawling images of a lush green countryside and Plant’s voiceover, where he describes the album: “It’s about lifespan. It’s about music…about obsession.  I guess it’s a kind of soul searching, in a way.”

The album’s first single, “Rainbow,” which is now streaming on YouTube, will be available for download on June 24th.
