KISS News Round-Up: Documentary Update, L.A. KISS 1st Home Game

The KISS documentary “You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best” is expected to hit theaters this fall, according to the film’s Director Alan G. Parker, per a post on the band’s official Facebook page.

Parker, whose previous work includes “Who Killed Nancy?”, a 2009 documentary about the death of Nancy Spungen, has the first rough cut of the film assemble, and it clocks in at a staggering two hours and 37 minutes.

It looks like Mr. Parker will be spending much of the spring in the editing room, because I doubt even the most die-hard KISS fans will want to spend that kind of time in the theater.

…In the meantime, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons are gearing up for the first home game of their arena football team, the L.A. KISS, which is scheduled for April 5th at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA.

In the least shocking move ever, Paul and Gene have planned a grand opening night extravaganza that will include a halftime performance from the always over-the-top metal band Steel Panther.

The L.A. KISS currently have a record of 1-1, and while we cannot predict how the team will perform this Saturday night, one thing is for sure:  Seeing Steel Panther will be worth the price of admission.
