The Who may not have any album plans in the near future, but Roger Daltrey has recorded something new -- with Dr. Feelgood alumnus Wilko Johnson.
The two recorded "Going Back Home" -- which features remakes of 10 Johnson-penned songs and a cover of Bob Dylan's "Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window" -- during November, a few months after Johnson revealed he was suffering from terminal pancreatic cancer.
"Roger jumped up and said, 'Let's do it,' " Johnson told The Guardian in England. "He knew this lovely little studio called Yellow Fish in Uckfield (England). Unfortunate name for a place, but a great studio."
Johnson, who recently appeared as a mute executioner on HBO's "Game of Thrones," described the album as a "heavy power-trio sound backing up a singer. It's a British institution. No one does that better than us."
The set is due out March 10, and Daltrey and Johnson are planning a one-off live performance on February 25 in London.
