Following a knee replacement surgery earlier this year, Queen guitarist Brian May has revealed that he’s experiencing even more health issues.
With a post on his official Twitter last week, May explained that he’s been suffering from back pain and the results of a recent MRI showed he had “two torn discs” which are “pressing on a nerve.”
“Well, at least I know I wasn't imagining the pain now!” May joked, though the rocker has apparently been feeling that pain for quite some time.
The UK’s Express reports that, after a performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas last fall, May experienced trouble walking due to intense pain in his buttock muscles. As that particular show was over three months ago (September 13), May has most likely been in a state of discomfort for quite some time.
No word on what the next steps to May’s recovery will be, but we continue to wish him well as 2014 is gearing up to be a busy year for Queen, with rumors of new releases on the horizon.
