Slowhand will be on the move in 2014!
Guitar legend Eric Clapton has recently announced the Far and Mid East Tour, which will hit cities in Japan, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates in February and March of next year.
Joining Clapton on the concert run will be a slew of familiar faces, with the rocker’s solo band consisting of bassist Nathan East, drummer Steve Gadd, keyboardists Chris Stainton and Paul Carrack and backup singers Sharon White and Michelle John, according to his official website.
Clapton’s 2014 tour dates, which may also extend into the spring and early summer, could be among the 68-year-old rocker’s last. Back in February, Clapton suggested during an interview with Rolling Stone that he would no longer hit the road for extended periods of time come his 70th year.
“When I'm 70, I'll stop. I won't stop playing or doing one-offs, but I'll stop touring, I think," Clapton explained to Rolling Stone.
Meanwhile, Eric Clapton recently released a new set that chronicles this year’s installment of his Crossroads Guitar Festival. The package, which can be purchased here, features a whopping five hours of live music that comes in CD, DVD, Blu-ray and digital formats, with special behind-the-scenes footage and other exclusive content included.
