Jon Bon Jovi will surely be giving thanks this year after getting the opportunity to perform in front of the royal family.
The rocker met Prince William at a party in Kensington Palace Tuesday night, which was held to raise money for his youth homelessness charity, Centrepoint, according to “People.”
“What’s important for me is to help break the cycle that leads to poverty,” Bon Jovi told reporters (via “People”). “And to be invited to highlight it in such illustrious surroundings couldn’t be better.”
Not only that, but he and William, along with Taylor Swift, took the stage together to perform “Livin’ on a Prayer,” in front of a crowd of roughly 600 guests.
While the royal setting was somewhat new for the musician, rocking out in England is not. Bon Jovi performed sans guitarist Richie Sambora across Europe this summer, including dates in Manchester and Birmingham in the U.K.
The band’s tour load is light for the rest of 2013, with only a few tour dates in Japan and Australia scheduled in December. For more on Bon Jovi, check out their official site.
