Surviving Doors members Robby Krieger and John Densmore are finally getting together publicly -- although we don't know if they're going to be playing music together yet.
The two will speak to fans after a December 5 screening of the documentary "Mr. Mojo Risin': The Story of LA Woman" at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. It marks the first time the guitarist and drummer have appeared together publicly in 13 years, following a bitter schism and court case regarding rights to the group's name and use of its music.
Their appearance will be in memory of keyboardist Ray Manzarek, who died in May, although a musical performance has not been announced.
Krieger tells us that Manzarek's passing helped the two estranged bandmates reconcile:
"We've actually spoken a few times after Ray's death. I think it sort of showed us that, hey, you can't hate somebody forever. It's better to try to mend fences when you can, before it's too late."
"Mr. Mojo Risin'" was directed by Martin R. Smith and released in January of 2012.
