Motorhead haven’t wasted any time rescheduling their recently postponed European tour dates!
Just a week after making the announcement that bassist/frontman Lemmy Kilmister wasn’t quite ready to hit the road this month due to his ongoing health issues, the band has taken to their official Facebook page to post their new concerts, which are set to take place in February and March of 2014.
Back in June, Lemmy (67) suffered a hematoma, which resulted in Motorhead canceling a series of European summer festival dates. The iconic rocker has since been very persistent about returning the stage, but in a message to fans, he admitted that his health should come first:
“It disappointed me tremendously to have to say I wasn't quite ready to hit the road yet, but not nearly as much as it would've disappointed me to go out, play some average shows and watch my health give way long before the tour was over! When people come to see a Motörhead tour, they expect a Motörhead show, and that is exactly what you will get as soon as I am fit and ready to rumble,” Kilmister wrote on the Motorhead official website.
In the meantime, fans of the band can enjoy the band in recorded form, as their 21st studio album Aftershock was released last month.
