Sad news coming from the Fleetwood Mac camp.
The band has canceled their forthcoming tour dates in Australia and New Zealand due to bassist/founding member John McVie having to undergo treatment for cancer.
"We are sorry to not be able to play these Australian and New Zealand dates," the band wrote on their official Facebook page. "We hope our Australian and New Zealand fans as well as Fleetwood Mac fans everywhere will join us in wishing John and his family all the best."
Recently, Fleetwood Mac wrapped up a series of European tour dates, including two London shows on which the band was joined by former keyboardist/singer, Christine McVie, who was married to John from 1968 and 1977.
We are sorry to hear about John's diagnosis, and hope his treatment and recovery go as smoothly as possible.
