Paul McCartney continues to hold his spot as the richest singer in the world, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Combining music, concert ticket and merchandise sales, royalties and other revenue, the site calculates that the former Beatle is worth $800 million, putting him $200 million ahead of U2 frontman Bono, who finished second.
CNW does note, however, that Bono was on track to be worth a cool $1 billion but was short-circuited by Facebook's disappointing IPO this year (Bono's Elevation Partners private equity firm held a 1.5 percent stake in the social media site).
Other classic rockers worth a heap o' dough include Jimmy Buffett (No. 3, $400 million), Elton John (No. 4, $320 million), Mick Jagger (No. 5, $305 million), Sting (No. 6, $290 million) and Phil Collins (No. 7, $250 million).
