Contest Rules


	General Contest Rules Rules apply to all Station contests unless specified otherwise in the specific Contest Rules. NO PURCHASE OR OTHER CONSIDERATION IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONTEST; PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE CHANCES OF WINNING. 1. All entrants must be at least 18 years old and legal residents of the United States, residing or working in WROR's terrestrial listening area. 2. Employees (including any member of their immediate and extended families and members of the same household) of Greater Boston Radio, Inc., its affiliates (including WMJX, WKLB, WBOS, WTKK), promotional sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies who do business with WROR, and other radio stations are not eligible to participate in any contest presented by WROR. 3. A winner will be disqualified if he/she or a member of his/her household has won a Station contest with a value over $50.00 within the previous 60 days. 4. One entry per person; multiple entries will disqualify the entrant. No purchase or other consideration is necessary to participate in this contest. Void where prohibited. Prize(s): 1. All prizes, unless otherwise stated, must be picked up at the Station's studios at 55 Morrissey Blvd., Boston, MA 02125 during normal business hours of 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. If a prize is mailed to the winner, the station is not responsible for failure to perform on the part of the US Postal Service or any other delivery service. 2. Prizes will be released to winners only. Winners are required to present a valid photo ID and social security number in order to pick up any prize. Additionally, ALL winners are required to sign a Winner's Release relieving the Station, Greater Boston Radio, Inc., its parents, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents and contest sponsors from any and all liability with respect to the receipt and/or use of the prize. Any person who refuses to sign the Release will forfeit the contest prize. 3. Station reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for all contests and giveaways. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. No substitution, transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed. 4. Prizes not claimed within 30 days of being awarded, or in the case of a time sensitive prize, within its period of usability, shall be considered forfeited and will become property of Station. Such prize may be disposed of at the discretion of Station Management. 5. Winners will receive a federal Form 1099 from Greater Boston Radio, Inc. and are responsible for paying all applicable local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes. General: 1. The station is not responsible for any entries and/or telephone calls that are misdirected, lost, disconnected, not received, or illegible. PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU'RE PLAYING THE WROR AUDIO STREAM YOU MAY EXPERIENCE A DELAY UP TO ONE MINUTE 2. Entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. Entries that are determined by Station Management to be fraudulent will be void and the person making such an entry barred from further participation in that and any future contest. All entries become the property of Greater Boston Radio and will not be acknowledged or returned. 3. Station Management shall be the sole arbiters in all matters relating to the contest and the interpretation of contest rules. The decisions of Station Management shall be final. Entry into station contests constitutes agreement by contestant to abide by these rules, as well as any other specific contest rules established by Station. Failure to conform to all contest rules, or any fraud or other illegal or inappropriate conduct on the part of a contestant, will result in the contestant's disqualification and forfeiture of any prize won. 4. By participating in this contest, each contestant hereby consents to Station and Greater Boston Radio using the contestant's name, voice, likeness, biographical information, his/her participation in the contest, and the substance of the contestant's telephone call for on-air broadcast and for advertising and promotional purposes. Contestant agrees that no additional compensation will be paid for such usage. 5. Odds of winning depend on the number of correct and/or eligible entries received and/or the particular type of contest being run. All tie-breaking procedures (if applicable) will be set forth in the individual contest rules. 6. Copies of written contest rules and the list of winners are available during regular business hours at 55 Morrissey Blvd., Boston, MA 02125. 7. Station contests are subject to all applicable laws and regulations and are void where prohibited. Station, Greater Boston Radio, its parents, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, contest sponsors and affiliated companies, and advertising and promotion agencies accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from (a) participation in the contest and/or (b) the acceptance, possession and/or use of any prize awarded hereunder. 8. Station reserves the right to change, alter or modify these rules at any time with or without written notice. These are general contest rules, and rules for individual contests may vary. To the extent that any individual contest rules differ from these rules set forth herein, the individual contest rules will govern and control. 9. Station reserves the right to end or stop any contest at any time and for any reason. 10. Station reserves the right to rule ineligible listeners who, in Station's sole judgment, engage in abusive conduct with respect to any contest or promotion conducted by Station or its affiliates. Winners must inspect their prizes before leaving the station. 13. 105.7 WROR is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failure or malfunctions, lost or unavailable network or other telecommunications connections, or lost, late, damaged, illegible, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, disconnected, or delayed contest entries or communications, whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in this contest, or by any human error which may occur in the execution of this contest. 105.7 WROR WEBSITE AND ON-LINE PRIVACY POLICY At 105.7 WROR, we recognize the importance of the privacy of our listeners and web visitors. 	WROR Mechanical Shark Competition - Official Contest Rules NO PURCHASE OR OTHER CONSIDERATION IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONTEST; PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE CHANCES OF WINNING. How to Enter for a Chance to Win From Wednesday, May 15, 2013 through Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 11am (ET) visit wror.com and enter online for a chance to win one of ten invitations for you and a guest to join The Loren & Wally Morning Show on Friday, May 24^th at 7:00am to compete in the Mechanical Shark contest. Competition will take place at the WROR Studio, 55 Morrissey Boulevard, Boston, MA. Qualifiers will be selected at random from all eligible entries received and notified by phone on May 21, 2013, and must confirm attendance no later than 12:00pm (noon) on May 22, 2013. The 10 invited qualifiers (guests will only be spectators) will get a chance to ride the mechanical shark located in the WROR parking lot. The contestant who stays on the mechanical shark longest will win a pair of tickets to see Jimmy Buffett. Game rules will be announced before the competition, and play/conduct calls will be determined by WROR Staff in their sole discretion. If a qualifier arrives after 7:00am on May 24th, s/he may be disqualified. All qualifiers must sign a liability release in order to participate in the competition. All contest entries will become the property of Station and will not be acknowledged or returned. Competition may be videotaped and posted on the WROR website for promotional purposes. By participating, all qualifiers authorize WROR to post their videotaped performance at www.wror.com. Prize Grand Prize: One (1) prize will be awarded, a pair of tickets to the Jimmy Buffett concert on June 22, 2013 at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA. Grand Prize Approximate Retail Value: $272.00 Odds of being selected to participate in the competition depend on number of eligible entries received. If any provision of these Official Rules is declared or found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, unenforceable or void, then such provision will be null and void but each other provision hereof not so affected will be enforced to the full extent permitted by applicable law. 	WROR Little League Tour - Lowell Spinners Youth League Banquet - Official Contest Rules How to Enter for a Chance to Win: At all Little League events attended by the WROR Street Team, April 2013 through June 30, 2013, enter to win a Lowell Spinners Youth League Banquet. Fill out registration form completely and legibly, and submit it as instructed by on-site WROR representatives. Incomplete or illegible entries may be removed in the judges’ sole discretion. One (1) winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received. Drawing will occur on or about July, 1, 2013 and winner will be notified by phone or mail. 	WROR/WBOS/WKLB-FM Pinehills Burger Showdown– Official Contest Rules NO PURCHASE OR OTHER CONSIDERATION IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONTEST; PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE CHANCES OF WINNING. How to Enter for a Chance to Win Between Wednesday, May 22, 2013 and Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 11:59pm (ET) go to www.wror.com, www.wklb.com, or www.myradio929.com and fill out the online entry form for the Pinehills Burger Showdown contest, including your favorite burger recipe. Limit one entry per person, per station. Entries must be received by 11:59pm on May28th to be eligible for the prize drawing. Each entrant, by submitting a recipe, certifies that the recipe being submitted has not, to the entrant’s knowledge, been copied from any third party and the entrant has full authority to submit the recipe for use in the contest and potential inclusion in the Pinehills Burger Showdown. By submitting a recipe, each entrant grants permission for the burger recipe to be featured at the Showdown. ARV $222.50 At the Pinehills Burger Showdown, attendees will vote for their favorite of the three first-place winners’ burger recipe submissions. The winner whose recipe receives the most votes will receive a “Butcher’s Bundle” from The Market at The Pinehills (ARV $100.00). Runner-up Prizes: Twenty-five 25 runner-up prizes will be awarded: two tickets to the Pinehills Burger Showdown on Saturday, June 1, 2013, and transportation for two between Greater Media Boston and the Showdown (departing Greater Media Boston at 11am and returning by 3pm). If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of being conducted as planned, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond the control of Greater Media Boston, its management reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest and/or determine an alternate method of awarding the prize(s). License Entry into any contest constitutes full permission for Greater Media Boston, its radio stations and promotion sponsors and their respective affiliates to broadcast and/or to photograph or publish the participant's name, voice, recorded comments, biographical information, submitted recipe, face and likeness, in any medium, without compensation. Taxes If required by applicable law, Greater Media Boston will report the total value of each prize to the IRS and will furnish winners with a federal Form 1099. Winners must provide their social security number to Greater Media Boston for tax reporting purposes, and are solely responsible for payment of all taxes incurred as a result of the award of a prize. General Failure to conform to all contest rules, or any fraud or other illegal or inappropriate conduct on the part of a contestant or on a contestant’s behalf, will result in the contestant's disqualification and forfeiture of any prize won. Greater Media Boston reserves the right to rule ineligible listeners who, in its sole judgment, engage in abusive conduct with respect to any contest or promotion conducted by Greater Media Boston or its station affiliates. Greater Media Boston reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify this Contest and these Official Rules at any time, which changes will become effective upon announcement. By taking part in this contest, participants agree to be bound by these rules and all decisions of the judges, who are employees of Greater Media Boston and whose decisions with respect to all aspects of the contest are final and binding. Copies of written contest rules and, where required by law, the list of winners are available during regular business hours at the Greater Media Boston office, 55 Morrissey Blvd., Boston, MA 02125, for 60 days after the contest concludes. As a condition to participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and all causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Boston, Massachusetts, having competent jurisdiction, which court shall apply the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to the conflicts of law principles thereof. The entrant and Greater Media Boston hereby waive any and all right to trial by jury. If any provision of these Official Rules is declared or found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, unenforceable or void, then such provision will be null and void but each other provision hereof not so affected will be enforced to the full extent permitted by applicable law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
