96.9 WTKK - Greater Media seeks interns interested in learning more about event marketing and the fascinating world of radio broadcasting and promotions. Interns will also assist with planning, marketing and executing radio sponsored promotions, public relations efforts, and contests-both in and out of the office. Interns have the opportunity to develop valuable written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Interns report to the station’s promotions department, but will also be exposed to the sales, programming and production departments. While working within the promotions department’s interns will learn how to update the company web page, create contests, and learn the importance of sponsorship. By directly promoting the station, interns will gain an understanding of the importance of promotion. Interns get an insiders look at the operations of a commercial radio station.

Interns in the program may also be required to assist with events and productions for other stations with in the Greater Media Inc. Candidates must be energetic and enthusiastic!

Country 102.5 WKLB, a Greater Media Boston station, is looking for a Local Sales Manager. Are you ready for the challenge? In this position, you will: • Recruit and hire staff; • Train and develop younger members of the sales team; • Work one-on-one with salespeople; reinforce the sales process; assist them to utilize all tools and resources available; • Lead sales meetings and conduct one-on-one meetings; • Help salespeople generate ideas, strategies and partnerships; • Motivate, lead and support staff; • Conduct specific and regular training in the areas of negotiation, packaging and pricing, as well as station/market position; A well-rounded background in all aspects of radio sales is key, including new business development, direct/retail revenue, agency sales and event sales. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years media sales experience.
